Training Opportunities
WORKFORCE INVESTMENT ACT (WIA)
The goal of WIA is to begin to prepare you for permanent unsubsidized employment through practical work experiences (unpaid &/or paid), work readiness workshops, studies to increase academic performance and academic enrichment activities. WIA funds are provided by the United States, Department of Labor.
WIA programs for adults, dislocated workers and youth are provided in Grays Harbor and Pacific Counties by three partners located in the WorkSource Centers in Aberdeen, South Bend and Long Beach.

All three service providers offer core, intensive and training services to help individuals in:
PREPARING FOR & SUCCEEDING IN EMPLOYMENT

· Assistance in obtaining unsubsidized employment

Limited funds provide certain supportive services to obtain and retain employment.
FOLLOW-UP SERVICES All participants receive some form of followup services for a minimum of twelve months after exiting from the program.
